What we collect

When you request a match we collect the details you submit (case type, location, budget, timeline, name, email, phone, and an optional description), plus basic technical data (country, browser user agent). Investigators who apply provide business and license details.

How we use it

To connect you with up to three investigators (licensed where your state requires it) who serve your area, to contact you about your request, to prevent fraud and unlawful requests, and to improve the service. By submitting a request you consent to us sharing it with those investigators.

Contact consent (TCPA)

If you provide a phone number and check the consent box, you agree that Hire a PI HQ and matched investigators may contact you by call or text, including via automated technology. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to opt out of texts.

We do not sell

We do not sell your personal information to data brokers. Information is shared only with matched investigators for your request.

Retention & your rights

We keep requests up to 24 months. You may request access or deletion at any time via the contact form; California and other state residents have additional rights under applicable law.

Security

Data is stored with our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare) and access is restricted.
